One of our focal points now is accommodation and here we cater for tourists and business people in ever increasing numbers in our lovely en-suite rooms all of which are centrally heated and include colour television and beverage making facilities. Consequently our day starts with breakfast preparation for these guests and we offer a full choice including vegetarian options to set them up in readiness for another day exploring this very attractive region. Currently the tariff is £35 for single occupancy of an en-suite room and £50 for double occupancy.
Then we turn our attention to opening the public bar which is open daily between 11am and 12 midnight (1am Saturday) and where a feature is the local real ales on offer. There is incidentally a car park and two beer gardens in which to enjoy the summer sunshine, and a drink followed perhaps by a meal. Our menu is varied and traditionally English in theme prepared on the premises using fresh locally sourced produce throughout and served in our attractive restaurant. Food is served daily between 12 noon and 2.30pm, again between 6.30pm and 9pm and all day on Sunday. Our catering though extends to our Function Room which has a capacity of 36 and which is ideal for that small birthday, christening and wedding reception in addition to being a popular local venue for meetings.
